AI environmental compliance
Herus handles the heavy lifting for EHS teams.
Helping keep your organization compliant and on track to avoid major penalties. Built for US oil and gas operators with Title V permits: gas processing, refining, treating, fractionation, and compression.
A permit violation can run for months before anyone finds out.
Large oil and gas operators run sophisticated monitoring systems across every sensor, flow, and pressure point in their plants. None of those systems know what the permit says. Violations accumulate undetected until the next quarterly compliance review, and the penalty clock runs the entire time. The maximum federal civil penalty is $124,426 per day, for each Clean Air Act violation (40 CFR 19.4).
How it works
Map. Herus reads the permit and gives every condition a destination: the sensor that measures it, through the historian you already run like AVEVA PI, or the field check or record that proves it. No new hardware. No new sensors. Your plant data never leaves your network. Everything else is built on the map.
Watch. When a condition goes over its limit, Herus alerts the people responsible and escalates up the chain until someone owns it. A sensor that stops reporting or goes flat raises its own alert.
Know. What share of the permit is watched, by what method, and which conditions nothing is watching.
Prove. Two sign-offs on every mapping and a record that is only ever added to. The Title V annual compliance certification and semiannual reports are built from the map, ready for your team to review and sign.
Anticipate. For every rolling average, how much room is left against the limit and the date it runs out at current rates.
Your team reviews and signs off on every mapping before it goes live. Herus does the rest.
